Today was another good day - and another day where I pushed too hard. But, living in Calgary, how could I pass up the opportunity to hit up the Stampede for an afternoon?!
I was a little nervous because last year, even using my cane, it reeeeally took it out of me just to walk around for a short while. Today I decided to use my walker instead. I was able to park relatively close by and then used my walker all through the grounds. I met up with my brother and my nephew, watched some Dora on the Coca Cola Stage, and then we went to see the horses, I grabbed myself some fudge and a candy apple, and my nephew got some ice cream. He also got to 'ride' on my walker while we were taking a tour of the midway.
I only lasted about an hour and a half, but I was wearing my boots and enjoying the time with family and the gorgeous weather.
I now need a major nap... But today was nice. All smiles over here!
