Just 5 Minutes Too Long

If you've been following along with my blog, you would know that I LOVE swimming. I am a total water-baby. The only problem is that I react to chlorine. I always get some hives... I often get nauseous... and the odd time my throat will swell up. But if I time it juuuuust right, if I spend just a small amount of time swimming, then I just get a few hives and I get some pretty great relief in my joints.
While I am swimming and floating, my shoulder blades and my SI joint aren't aching as much, and the intense sharp pain settles right down while I am in the water.
I would benefit from aqua therapy, but I get too sick from the chlorine.
Tonight I got to go swimming. We spent about half an hour in the pool... and that was apparently about five minutes too long. The moment I got out, my nausea hit super hard. I had to walk extra slowly with my cane and every step felt like it was gonna make me hurl.

I had to have a bad a bath afterward to scrub off any leftover chlorine, and had some medication and it kind of subsided. Luckily, no throat swell.
Just sick.
Ugh.
From just a few minutes too long.
