Taking A Snow Day

I very rarely cancel or reschedule appointments. Once in a while I write them down wrong or misunderstand or things are rescheduled and I forget to write it down in all of my calendars, but actually canceling or rescheduling an appointment happens very infrequently.

With that said, today with the roads such a mess, I was able to reschedule an appointment, have my doctor fax in a prescription, and instead of driving for over an hour one way, across the city, I drove for 15 minutes straight to the pharmacy instead.
I gotta say though, when I was out, drivers were quite good and some of the main roads were nicely plowed.
I actually really wanted to see my doc today as we are inviting him to our wedding and I wanted to give him his invitation (along with the exam and prescription)... but the road conditions overall were pretty awful... awful enough to want to avoid driving that far if I could help it.
My doctors are awesome.

Another great thing is that it's not very COLD outside. So I was able to hobble out to the back deck to throw the tennis ball and snowballs for my pupper. And then I get a snow day at home. Still need to make some phone calls, but otherwise I plan to cuddle with Dex, read a book, cook a little dinner later, and turn on the fireplace if I start to feel chilly. Maybe add in a cup of tea while watching the snowfall...
Now if I was able to take away the pain and nausea and migraine and the horrible joint stiffness that this snowstorm has brought on, and if Ryan was able to take the day off too, then today would be the absolute perfect snow day.
It's as good as it is gonna get though - it's all I can ask for and it is pretty near perfect for the situation. I'll take it with a wide smile! 😁🌨❄☃️
