So yesterday I had planned to eat bland food that is easy to digest, and even thought about ONLY having Boost the entire day. By the afternoon I had scrapped the initial Boost plan and was actually doing pretty well!
I had some Boost of course, some rye bread, and a couple of boiled eggs.
A while later I had a few pieces of potato.
(Okay, I admit it, RJ made fries). Before you guilt-trip me, fries are still crazy easy to digest if made at home, and fries from fast-food joints just slide right through your system. So a small saucer of fries (very tiny portion) was still a good choice. Well, not a bad choice anyways.
But then I had a very specific medication that helps me sleep...
The problem with it is that if I can't get to sleep right away once it kicks in, then my instinct is to eat everything in the fridge and pantry. Like nachos and rice krispies squares and pocky sticks and gingersnaps...
☆Insert expletive here☆
I had several issues overnight that are frustrating and embarrassing, and my intestines are completely raging at me right now...
I need to practice better willpower.
I really wish that I could still eat popcorn. It is lighter and has that delicious taste and you can just keep eating them and eating them and eating them on a night like that without feeling like Jabba the Hut the following morning. Unfortunately for me, popcorn has been out of the equation for nearly 18 years and the husks and kernels are not worth the risk. (But sometimes if RJ has popcorn I put one in my mouth to taste it then spit it out because I am that desperate for the flavour).
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
