It can be difficult to remember this sometimes:
If you are feeling considerably fatigued, your body is fighting something.
Maybe it is a chronic illness that you suffer from, maybe it is all of the stress you have endured lately or an exceptionally busy week at work. Perhaps you have caught a slight cold or flu and your body is trying to rid you of it before you experience further symptoms.
Fatigue can hit anyone at any time. It can be from nearly anything that puts extra strain on the body -> anxiety, psychological stress, a decision you are trying to make, an acute infection, pain, illness, pregnancy, or just your body trying to maintain a balance.
So if you are ill and frustrated with how exhausted you are, but then have issues sleeping, just remind yourself that your body is working overtime. Double overtime. So give your body some extra care, let it rest, try not to add unnecessary stress if you are already significantly fatigued, and remind yourself that it is out of your control.
