Pop-Up Port-a-Potty

My newest camping accessory arrived in the mail yesterday.

I am a HUGE fan of camping. It has become my only real vacation in the last few years. It doesn't cost much, we get to stay near where we live, we get the fresh mountain air, and the pups get some much-needed constant outdoor time. They even get to swim or play longer games of fetch! I've always been a fan of camping, but Crohn's Disease also presents a bit of a problem.
I prefer to camp on crown land. I like the solitude and the open fire pits and feeling more in the wilderness. Granted, there are some controlled campsites that are well-treed, but I prefer searching and finding my own little spots. Plus it's free - all it costs is the time and care to leave it how I found it (or better). We pack out what we bring in and we are always fire safe.
The bathroom issue can be a bit bothersome though. It's not exactly comfortable finding a squat spot in the middle of the night, or a different spot up to 12 times a day, and by the end of a camping trip I can barely move my legs.
Now that my SI Joints and hips are becoming more problematic (I can blame AS and age for that), I figured it was time to invest in a contraption - a designated bathroom spot.
So I ordered a pop-up privacy shelter from Bass Pro, plus the Luggable Loo and Double Doodie Bags. The Loo is just a 5 gallon bucket with a heavy-duty toilet seat & lid, and the Doodie Bags have a particular scent-masking & solidifying chemical. The pop-up shelter is crucial though. We can set it up a ways from the site, but easy to find in the dark, and it becomes our own camping port-a-potty!!
It comes with tie-downs and a removable floor (for portable showers if need be), and folds up nicely.

Now, it's been a long time since I have had to have a makeshift toilet in the vehicles at all times, but for long road trips I would definitely take this along. Can't find a washroom? Use the pop-up tent at the next road-side turnout!

It might be weird to get this excited about a bathroom, but I am pretty damn excited. Hehe.

Here it is after we did a test set-up inside
