Then it settled and even completely stopped for a couple of days (during this couple of days is when I had my follow-up with my GI specialist, of course).
Then it came back. Not as bad as it was, but having a burping 'fit' a few times throughout the day that lasts anywhere from 10-30 minutes, particularly after eating.
Although I believe that my Hereditary Angioedema plays a role, my hematologist does not think there is any correlation.
So I am back on fluids and some soft foods, and we are back to the drawing board.
I still have a requisition for a stool sample to check for H. Pylori, but there are a couple issues with this. I am on continuous antibiotic treatment for inflammation in my internal pouch... but to take the test I have to be off of antibiotics for two weeks. I have had to do this before (prior to cortisone injections in my SI joint) and that spiraled me into intestinal hell for well over 6 months. So I am hesitant. I would also have to stop a new medication that I have been given to help heal the esophagitis. So I guess I will have to wait until the esophagitis is cleared up (who knows when/if that will happen if I keep burping), then go off of antibiotics and the new medication for two weeks, for a stool sample that may not show anything... so that will be a month or more down the road. I am reeeeeeeally hoping to figure out what is going on before I have to experiment with going off of my antibiotics....
So, my phone calls are in to my physicians, I am back on a soft food and fluid diet, and we will all try to figure out what the hell is going on.
*burp burp burp*
