Makeup

I have never spent a ridiculous amount of time on makeup. I keep things fairly simple - but I do try to put a little focus on the eyes.
There's a problem though - with Macular Degeneration, fine detail work on the eyes is extremely difficult when one eye has to remain closed (I won't even get into how difficult it has been to tweeze the ends of my eyebrows because of this). Because my central vision is warped in each eye, partially greyed out, and wonky, when I only look with one eye, that warping makes it difficult to get any kind of straight light or symmetrical look, let alone even be able to see fine details. When I look with both eyes I still see 20/20 (with contacts or glasses).
So recently, with new trends, there has been some focus on colourful eye liners on the lower lid and sometimes just in the corners. This is perfect! I can keep both eyes open for undereye liner and corner work!
I may never be able to produce a perfect winged liner, or a flawlessly blended smoky-eye (partially because I'm just not that good AND I don't want to spend hours on my makeup), but adding a touch of colour to lower liner is a skill I can try.
So I've been watching Glow Up and some makeup tutorials online to just have a little fun!

It makes life so much easier when fashion trends actually match up with my medical needs! Like clothing that has a lot of give and stretch for when I swell, or makeup that doesn't require an eye closed, or clothing styles that match my natural body shape. Brows will always be an issue since mine regularly disappear due to thyroid problems... but I am excited to try some new beauty trends.

A pop of blue under the eye:
Here I tried to do a suuuuuper simplistic and quick cut-crease, but I had a terrible time trying to see the details on my right eye:
