Crash-days are a part of every day life in people with any variation of chronic illness.
Actually, no, that's not right. Crash days are a part of life for every single one of us. Sometimes we need an emotional crash day, or a physical one, one where we are mentally drained and cannot read one more email or text message, or 'people'-drained where we cannot see or speak to another person.
We look for ways to escape our own tired and bruised minds/bodies.
So - on those crash days, what is your favourite or go-to crash day snack?
On my worst crash days, my go-to comfort food is a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Sometimes it's simple - cheese, bread, and butter. Sometimes it's more elaborate - with smoked gouda cheese, maybe tomato, with a fried egg in the middle, adding some mayo and spices... and also, butter. Carbs and butter. Why are these such a comfort?
I want to know what YOUR favourite comfort snack is when you are out for the count; too tired, too sick, too people'd out.
