Good Things on Bad Days

Yesterday I had a bit of a bad day. Not terrible, and today is already much better, but not great.

There are a few things going on. Like I've said in previous posts, I am off of a certain medication. One unanticipated product of this is that my Crohn's is fairly peeved about it, and I was seeing blood a lot more frequently... So I've had to reduce down to a full-fluid & soft-food diet for the past few weeks (pausing for a couple special occasions).
Tuesday night I subbed for a volleyball team, and pushed a little too hard. My heart rate got over 200 (this is not super uncommon for me, especially when I am weaker and not getting all the nutrients I would normally be getting). So I got dizzy, nauseated, and had some swelling in my chest (alongside a bit of a freak-out; near panic attack) that made it harder to breathe, making me sit out for several minutes to calm my body down, and then had me coughing all day yesterday as a swell-hangover.
I am also off of two other medications for the next week ahead of an appointment with an Allergist/Immunologist to do a scratch test.

So yesterday I was weak, I had a swell-hangover, I was sore, my pride was bruised, and I was a touch cranky.

So what's the good news?
My hair did EXACTLY what I wanted it to do yesterday.
Yes, it's pretty insignificant, but I think with illness it's important to celebrate small victories. Really really small ones. Like good hair days. :)
