Due to the fact that I have to be on some heavy narcotics in order to handle the pain from the appointments, I normally take a cab to my treatments. I have also taken a cab to the hospital several times.
Today I called for a cab from the normal reliable company that I use (Mayfair Taxi). They have always been very good. Before I could even say my address, the dispatcher says "Hi Karissa. Can you be ready in five minutes? I will send one to ya right away, sweetheart".
Not always great to be known... But sometimes, just a friendly response and a 'sweetheart' comment can make a bad day just a bit better.
