Pelvic Physio - The Beginning

I met with my pelvic physiotherapist this past week. It was a two hour appointment, but we spent the vast majority of it just going over my history. She didn't do much manipulation this time - but she will be getting together with my kinesiologist and my doctor to discuss the approach she is going to take.
The bad news is that it is pretty evident that no treatment approach is going to give me a miraculous amount of relief. The GREAT news is that she has some ideas of treatments that we can try that I have never had done!! It could be intense, it could get worse before it gets better, but I am hopeful.

I also had my second nutrition course this morning. We talked mostly about the importance of protein and that we should be incorporating some sort of protein in every meal. We also discussed Vitamin D, good fats vs bad fats, ways to come up with feasible nutrition goals for ourselves, and the anti-inflammatory diet.
One thing that surprised me is that this particular dietician mentioned that cooking with coconut oil is actually NOT recommended - due to the trans fats. She said olive oil is actually better. Go figure!

One more nutrition course left, then onto the next course :). It's definitely all good information to go over!
