I am really excited to be a part of the Power of Movement again this year.
What it is:
It is a fundraiser that is held annually for arthritis research. Instead of the usual run/walk/cycle etc.. for a cause, it is a huge yoga class for a cause. I am participating this year in Calgary on March 2nd along with lots of other Calgarians! If you are interested in joining that day - check out the info and come down to support all of us who are dealing with some form of arthritis.
If you would like to be a donor to this event, please check out the Power of Movement website. If you would donate through me specifically, please go to:

Every little tiny bit helps. Even five dollars can make a big difference.
Sometimes it's hard to know where the money is going - especially for these chronic illnesses that don't seem to have any particular cause or cure for them. Here's a quick little background for me and what I am hoping that further research will provide for me as a patient.
I have been a little bit unlucky with medications. I have lots of allergies to medications and my body has a knack for building up allergies to biologics. Right now, I am on a certain biologic, but I have to be very cautious and pay attention to all side effects. Furthermore, this new biologic does not do anything to help the guts - and I am a little worried that my Crohn's is going to end up flaring again. I am already allergic to three biologics, and there are several immunosuppressants and pain medications that I am also allergic to, so I only have a few to choose from. I'm hoping that with the money fundraised we can continue research to find new medications to take down the inflammation, to help with the pain; something new; something that someone who has allergies to biologics can take. The closer we get to finding any kind of solution, the close we will get to an actual cure for these debilitating diseases.
Join us for a morning of yoga for a good cause!! Even if you can't donate - just being there to show your support makes such a difference to us. What's it gonna hurt, doin a little yoga on a Sunday morning? It's lots of fun! Hope to see tons of people there.
Message me if you have any questions.
