Singing and The Seahawks

Everyone knows that singing is my stress-release, my passion, and one of the only 'activities' that I can always do, even when my health is at its absolute worst.

Most also know that I used to sing the Canadian Anthem fairly regularly - for hockey games, high school football games, when the Scotties Tournament of Hearts was in Lethbridge, golf tournaments, even weight-pulling tournaments for dogs. Half of these also included the American National Anthem.

Last year I auditioned for (but did not make the cut) the position of anthem singer for the Calgary Stampeders. I plan on auditioning and trying to get that position every year. My passion for football and my passion for singing combined? Would be such an incredible feeling.

Now, of course, my CFL team is the Stamps. My NFL team - The Seahawks!!! I mean... I need to buy a new dresser to fit all of my Seahawks gear in it. So, as expected, ANOTHER life long dream of mine has been to sing for an NFL game, and if it could be for the Seahawks, well then I think my life would be complete haha.
So I put up a youtube video today of me singing the American National Anthem.

Right now, if you have been reading my blog, most of you know that I am pretty down and out right now. Using a cane and a walker and unable to participate in simple activities... And I don't have much of a social life since my energy stores are so low.
I can still sing. So I am going to sing as much as I can. And although singing for a game would bring about a certain energy surge - I would give pretty much anything to sing the anthem for a CFL or an NFL game. And I would SCREAM if I could sing for the Seahawks!!!

Go 'Hawks!!
