On some Thursdays, I am going to add a Throwback Edition and include a story from way back when I first became ill at 14 years old.
My first experience staying at the Alberta Children's Hospital (when it used to be at the Richmond Road location), I stayed in U cluster. Now, just for added info, U cluster was also the section that Paul Brandt used to work in as a nurse - or so I wad told :).
I had to have my vitals checked every hour or so, so I didn't always get much rest. Luckily, I had the good fortune of having two incredibly attractive male nurses in that section as well. One worked the night shift most nights, and the other worked the day shift. It was absolutely a nice distraction and I flirted shamelessly.
Anyone that I spoke with at the Crohn's and Colitis camps who had been on U cluster also knew who these nurses were. I tell you, they made my stay pretty bearable!! A little eye candy never hurt anyone...
