I just found out this week that the AVM in my lung that they saw on a ct scan last month is not necessarily an AVM but another sort of Vascular Anomaly.
Either way, I am now being referred to a Pulmonologist and a Cardio-Thoracic surgeon.
Turns out that the location of it can be quite dangerous for my heart, so it may be necessary to remove it.
I have not seen a specialist so I do not know all of the details or risk factors involved in any of this... But I DO know that I am starting to feel like a ticking time bomb. I mean really, this issue does not seem to have any connection with any of my auto-immune/inflammatory issues. It's just an extra added 'bonus'.
Like a cake topper.... On a 25 tiered cake.... Lol.
I tell ya, when my dad called me a 'lemon' all those years ago... You know, the pain job being okay and showing no signs of malfunction, but none of the internal parts work properly... Now that is absolutely the metaphor that seems to work best!
You can't tell from looking at me that things may completely fall apart in any second!!
So now I wait for my appointments, which, of course, could take about six months to get into.
Let's hope not!
