Being Over Prepared

Alright so preparing for this double scope tomorrow has been a challenge. It's also another reminder that over-preparing DOES pay off sometimes!

Some of the preparation is pretty awful, so I have always done a few extra days of fluids. Sometimes they allow a low fibre diet all the way up until the day before the procedure, but since the prep is so awful, I always do two days of full fluids, then two days of clear fluids, then as much prep as possible. This has always been fine, but my doc was insistent on me doing this Golytely prep.

I'm not a huge wuss by any means... But this stuff is the worst I have ever had. Even VSL3 powder I could get down if I mixed it in yogurt and took a shot of it.
But THIS stuff. I mean, I was able to get some down once I mixed it with chicken broth, but the way it makes me feel is horrendous!! The excess nausea and the cramping and the puking everywhere on the floor is absolutely not worth it.

So if I HADN'T over prepared, I would be killing myself trying to drink all 4L of this stuff. But since I over-prepared, I can manage to have SOME and I will still be prepared.
At least I hope so!!

Fingers crossed that tomorrow goes well. Two scopes, some biopsies, and maybe some answers to some lingering questions: like if the swollen lymph nodes all over my intestines are anything significant.... Or if the Crohn's has moved to my stomach which could be causing all the vomiting... Or if there is something else in my stomach, esophagus, or initial part of my small intestine that could be causing all of my symptoms (I know he is also checking for signs of Cancer)....
Let's hope for answers, and good ones! Would be SO amazing to have an explanation for all of the vomiting!!!

Let's get this over with!

Oh ps - the plan for my first meal is up in the air for tomorrow. Gonna wait and see what I am craving after the procedure. What I DO have are two chocolate bars sitting in the freezer ready to go. And Wednesday I am absolutely ordering a gluten-free pizza.
Looking forward to that like you have NO idea!
