Never Stop Doing Things!

Luckily my energy levels have improved over the past few weeks. I am thrilled that I can finally do a flight of stairs without needing a nap, that I can do ten minutes of yoga without falling into a vomiting fit, that I can walk without a walker again!

I know that I recently added some of these photos - but I want to make a point of showing that I don't look sick. There are eight photos here.
In every single one of these photos I am doing something that I love to do.
Each day that these photos were taken, I had major vomiting fits.
On four of these occasions I was using a walking aid and needing the help of someone else to walk.
On two of these occasions I ended up in the Emergency room.

Even the picture of me playing softball - I played two games that day - 3 innings each. I basically hobbled to first after hitting then got a runner. I puked in between each inning. I puked when I got home. I crashed when I got home.

After the flight - I was bedridden for several weeks after this. My mom came up for about three weeks to help take care of me since I couldn't do the most simple tasks. I still haven't fully recovered from this. (This was on March 10, 2014).

Two yoga pictures - the first one (the professional photo) was taken at the Power of Movement fundraiser in 2013. I had just been recently diagnose with AS. I was not able to participate in the entire class, I had to leave once to vomit, and I spent the next two days in bed. The second picture was on the news for the same fundraiser. I had to walk with my cane just to get to the venue, did a quick stretch, then was bedridden the rest of the day. I had to redo my makeup twice because I was so pale that day, and I was so weak and shaky that I remember being virtually unable to concentrate.

The rest of the pics have similar stories - but I also believe that it's important to continue to DO things that I love!

I don't look sick, do I?
