Shopping Spree

Being diagnosed with an illness is not fun. It is a relief to have a label for what is going on, by all means, but in the grand scheme of things, new diagnoses suck. 

Add to that more appointments, a possible other diagnosis on top of everything, and a surgery tomorrow. 

The good news about all of this is that I got to do a little shopping!! (And shopping is always kinda fun). 

Today I got to pick up a bath bench! After this surgery, I have to have showers instead of baths for the next few weeks (but I vomit every time I shower). So I got to pick up a bath bench so that I could SIT in the shower and hopefully reduce the vomiting! 

Also, with a new confirmed diagnosis, I am required to get additional Medic-alert jewelry. Luckily, there are several websites with medic-alert jewelry and a ton of them are super cute - all bejeweled and pretty and different colors! So I got to buy some new stuff. PLUS they have this really cool bracelet that has a USB key attached to it with the medic-alert symbol and can be engraved, so that I can put my medical info directly onto the USB key and wear it on my wrist! Then I don't necessarily have to carry around my medical wallet and I don't have to worry about my phone dying or anything. It's awesome!!! 

Illness sucks. Surgery sucks. But I am making the most of it by shopping for cute new medical gear. 😊
