Shoveling

The last few days have been bitterly cold.
Even my pup, my Shepherd-Lab Heinz 57 mix will not spend any amount of time outside without fleece mittens on his paws.
Once I put those on, though, he won't come back INSIDE without me coaxing him with possible treats.

Because of the bitterly cold weather, a few things have become worse.
Dry and cracked skin, psoriasis showing up in places it hasn't been for a couple of years instead of just my scalp, and my dry-mouth is so horrible, I am not even hungry because of how much liquid I have been drinking to manage it. Not to mention my hips and knees are incredibly stiff and painful.

I love my house for many reasons.
The one that I was most grateful for is the fact that my condo fees go towards snow removal. This morning I woke up to over a feet of snow all over the place - but my walk had already been shoveled. Not only was it done before I needed to go outside, but it was done on a Saturday morning at that.

I cannot be thankful enough to be able to sit inside, nursing my cracked skin and stiffened hips by the fireplace, not having to worry about trying to shovel my walk.

Thrilled and thankful.
