I found something out this week that I did not know.
In hindsight I really should have guessed this, but I guess it hadn't crossed my mind since no one had mentioned it to me before and the warning labels aren't exactly super noticeable.
Anyways - turns out that all A535 creams and all Voltaren Emulgel creams include ASA.
Again - it makes sense. It is for joints and ASA is an anti-inflammatory. I feel a little idiotic for not noticing it myself earlier, but I had used A535 for as long as I can remember for any kind of sport-induced injury, sore muscles, shin splints, etc... So I never thought to look!
I was recently at the pharmacy and wanted to pick up some more because of how awful my hips and shoulder blades have been, and I had some extra time and read through them all.
Icy Hot, Biofreeze, and Motion Medicine are the only topical creams (that I am currently aware of) that do not include a medicinal ingredient that I am allergic to.
Luckily, because it is topical and is not entering my bloodstream or digestive system, it did not cause any major reaction.
Now I know better!
