Useless Productivity

This is my oxymoron of the day.

I had lots of energy today! Again! That's two days this week. With all of the energy, despite EXCRUTIATING shoulder-blade joint pain, I decided to work on a few projects.

Tomorrow night is date night.
I needed to figure out which dress to wear, so while I was at it, I thought I may as well try on all of my dresses and sort them into four piles:
1. Dresses to keep and re-hang up.
2. Dresses to keep but that require dry-cleaning.
3. Ones I won't be wearing in the foreseeable future to be given to a charity organization, and
4. Contenders for date night.

Of course I kept a few dresses that are too bit in case I ever gain weight involuntarily and need that 'little black dress'.

Whole hanging them back up, I decided to organize them based on color.
Once I finished that, everything else clothes-wise began to stress me.
I proceeded to color-code my entire closet... Then my front closet... Then all of my scarves and pashminas... Then mittens and toques and winter-wear... And then even my stud earrings.
(My shoes were already organized based on color).

I cleaned out my fridge a little bit, I had a doctor's appointment, filled my new prescription, then took Decker for a walk.
But I didn't stop there.
I then sat down and started working on my recipe scrapbook.
This project was obviously much more relaxing... Although I am actually not that keen on scrapbooking. I don't use huge embellishments or having precise cutting skills and I don't worry too much about the pages looking flawless. What I DO love is being able to have my own recipe book, with MY recipes and ones passed down to me from my mom. It is a great cookbook to have. :).
To relax after a busy day, I had a nice, long, luxurious bubble bath.

I, unfortunately, been swollen all week. I know that it stems from the excitement of my Seahawks winning the NFC championship game and on their way to Superbowl... But it's almost a week later and my legs, arms, and stomach are still really swollen. Hopefully it will have gone down for tomorrow.

What was brilliant about today is that I felt very productive (even though color-coding my entire house is basically useless). Not only that, but the projects that I got to work on today were ones that I have been WANTING to do since I moved to this particular place, but takes up so much energy that I have been unable to do so until today.

My shoulder blade pain is unbearable.
But I got to work on little projects that I LIKE doing. :)

Plus it was absolutely gorgeous outside today.
