Remember the post about the 'come down'? It hadn't quite happened yet, and I wasn't sure that it would, exactly. I was crossing my fingers that it wouldn't....
Well, it's here. It has arrived. And it started shortly after 8pm last night.
Apart from a cycle that has now been continuous for over a month, my body has finally relaxed. The adrenaline is gone.
I had virtually no sleep last night due to:
- a persistent cough that will likely turn into a nasty cold.
- severe nausea and stomach discomfort, resulting in dry heaving, crouched fetal position, and constant position changes trying to relieve SOME of it.
- an intensely severe migraine.
- chills and drastic (and unpredictable) changes in body temperature.
- several painful abscesses located on my face.
- a general inability to get comfortable.
(All of this was virtually unchanged with extra medication. There are just certain symptoms that cannot be lessened by anything at all. I just need to give it time to pass - ride it out.)
So, what now?
I am SUPPOSED to be getting some extremely important bloodwork today along with my monthly injection.
Haha yeah - THAT's not happening. I'm not leaving the house and I'm probably not even leaving my bedroom today.
Today does not exist.
I mean really, Mondays suck anyways.
The bloodwork can be done tomorrow. I really need it done, but I even had to dim my phone lighting simply to look at it. There's no way that I could responsively drive and then get through a possible three hour wait for walk-in bloodwork.
The injection? Well, for starters, it should be done once a month, preferably at exactly one month.... But if it's done a day or two before or after, it's not a HUGE deal. And secondly, the monthly injection is the medication that has failed (and the culprit for having my cycle for over four weeks now...) so really, it's not like it's working properly anyways. One day will not make THAT much of a difference on that one particular medication.
So - the 'come down' is officially here.
Today does not exist.
Let's just hope it doesn't turn into a vomiting fit. I'd really rather NOT take a drive in an ambulance to the emergency room today.
Sleep time - all day.
