"Light Reading"

So - it turns out that there ARE a couple more anti-nausea medications out there!!!

Hooray!!!

After a very long day - starting with a two-hour appointment with a hematologist, a four-hour afternoon of driving and bloodwork and pharmacies - I am finally at home, doing a little "light reading" of the medication leaflets, and I realize two very important things...

1. In the side effects and adverse reactions section, it states:
"Get medical help right away if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, muscle stiffness/pain/tenderness/weakness, severe tiredness, severe confusion, sweating, fast/irregular heartbeat, dark urine, or changes in the amount of urine."

In my case it would be assumed that if any of the above symptoms are worse than 'my normal', but it kinda hits home when you read that list and think:

But I have every one of those symptoms, except for a fever, on a daily basis right now.... And I almost never present with fevers at ALL!

And then,

2. I realized that I should be gathering together all of my medical books, peer reviewed articles, symptom lists, medication lists, disease descriptions -

Basically ANYTHING about my health that I want my boyfriend to understand - all I have to do is make copies, stick them in a magazine holder in his bathroom, and get him in the habit of leaving his phone out of the washroom.

A little 'bathroom reading' and he would know as much as I do about my health!!

Why have I not thought of this before???
