Hopeful Actions

It is truly amazing what hope can do for someone. As long as there is a tiny little sense of hope, no matter how small or seemingly unobtainable, if there is hope, then there is some fight left.

We all know that when someone is struggling, we want to try and project as much hope as we can onto that person. We will do whatever it takes for that individual to feel hopeful again.
But what happens when it is you that loses hope?

I think that trying to give another person hope can be therapeutic. Think of it in terms of studying. When do people tend to retain the most amount of information? When can someone fully understand a topic? It is when we are teaching someone else about that topic. When we help other people to understand and to study, we happen to study more effectively and really come to understand that topic.
So why not try that with hope?

If you are feeling down and hopeless and with a continued sense of despair, take a step back from what you are going through and take a minute to help someone ELSE with his/her problems. They don't have to be similar in any way, shape, or form. The simple act of trying to convince someone else to be hopeful may just help your own sense of hopefulness.

We are all in this together... so let's help each other while also helping ourselves. Because everyone deserves a little extra hope in their lives.
