How Could I Not?

With everything going on in my life recently, the only portion I can be upset about is my health.
In reality, my health just plain sucks. I can't shower without puking, I can't walk long distances or do stairs without walking aids or help, I am nauseous 100% of the time, I am in pain 100% of the time, and half of my medications - although they do work beautifully overall - give me adverse effects I would rather not have to deal with.
BUT
With all of my recent 'adventures', how could I possibly be unhappy?
I have had the opportunity to dabble in home-based businesses, write for a yoga magazine, be involved in stock photo shoots, be able to sing for a variety of different gigs, and meet some fantastic new people while making worthwhile contacts. My songs are sold on iTunes, my videos are watched on YouTube, my articles are read in Living Yoga and this blogging platform, my friends, family, and significant other are all wonderful and supportive, and my puppy is seriously handsome and extremely well-behaved.

Here is what I know:
No matter HOW awful and terrifying and life threatening my failing health can be, I still have more than enough reasons to feel grateful and happy. On certain days my health may tip the scales, but overall I have an endless amount of reasons to love my life.

Who knew that my best adventures and opportunities would come at a time when my health is particularly bad? I guess Fate has to even things out - and I will gladly accept it.

Nothing in life is without its challenges... So it is especially important to focus on the lighter side as much as you possibly can.
So even though maintaining a certain level of manageable health concerns is my number one priority, it does not mean that it has to monopolize all of my focus. I can work hard to take good care of myself and be on top of my treatment while putting my time and energy on other endeavors that I find enjoyable and rewarding.

My health is sh*t sometimes, but the rest of my life is pretty amazing.

P.s. I cannot WAIT until Christmas. All my gifts are bought, they just need to be wrapped!
