#TheHappyPost

I don't know about all of you people out there, but lately I have been finding that my news feeds on social media have been overtaken by negative posts. Complaints, disasters, tragedies, people feeling offended and running to news outlets, divisive articles that focus on race and sexuality, just this attitude that if things aren't perfect then there is something wrong.

I want to help change that.

I know that I get very much affected to the core by some of these horrible stories. People suffering and experiencing natural disasters and victims of crime, and it truly makes me sad about our world... and as much as I would love to donate money to every single disaster and every single cause, there is only so much that one person can do (especially those who are not kazillionaires). I do still donate, don't get me wrong, but there are millions and millions of causes and people that are needing help, and you just can't get to all of them.
But what I can do is try and encourage change on what my friends see on their news feeds.

I have complaints, bad days, and I suffer... and I am definitely guilty of posting about it (I mean, really, I write a blog about illness)... but I want to take the time to write about the little things. The positive things. No embellishments, just true moments of positivity.

I would love for others to play along - let's change the negative dynamic on social media to a positive one. Maybe it will help others do the same and, in turn, reduce the amount of sh*t that is forced in people's faces every single day.
