Want to know why it always takes at least a few hours for chronically ill patients to be seen by an ER doctor - when the incident is terribly serious and life-threatening?
It legitimately takes 2+ hours just to SKIM through the charts of these patients.
Then, once they go through the chart, they are so scared to do the wrong thing that it takes even longer just to figure out how to go about the entire situation.
No wonder it takes so long. Those poor doctors have to read 20 years worth of medical history in a speed-oriented environment.
