Passive-Aggressive Crohn's

A funny little thing used to happen when I was in high school and University. We never knew why and it was probably a simple coincidental pattern, but my body used to respond a particular way to extreme weight changes, especially while taking Prednisone.
If my weight would get above 146lbs, I would experience a horrible flare-up of my Crohn's that would put me on fluids for days to weeks. Bam - back down to 130lbs. If my weight went less than 120lbs, my Crohn's would settle a bit and my Prednisone-induced appetite would be absolutely uncontrollable. Bam - back up to 130-135lbs.

Well...
Lately my weight has been hard to control. After the hysterectomy and adopting some bad eating habits, paired with pain-related lack of activity AND more frequent HAE swells puffing me up like a blowfish, my weight got up to about 160lbs. This was insane for me. And I complained about it... a lot... especially after my eating returned to a healthier routine and my activity increased and I was still seeing no results.

So now, maybe my passive-aggressive Crohn's is just being her passive-aggressive biotchy self. Like: "FINE. You hate this extra weight so much? I am gonna flare up so bad that you are going to have to stick to fluids for WEEKS so you lose that weight."

For the record, this is NOT how I wanted to lose a few pounds.
