Benefits of Winter

Due to the dry weather, recent stresses, and a flare up of my psoriasis on my scalp, I am increasingly grateful for the fact that I can wear a toque everywhere in public right now.

Tonight my scalp is, frankly, disgusting. I am itchy and massively large flakes are just peeling off of my scalp and getting caught everywhere in my hair. My hair is speckled with psoriasis 'dandruff' flakes, my scalp is red and sore and itchy and tender, and horribly dry.
So I can either put all sorts of creams and steroid creams and oils and try to moisturize my scalp, creating a greaseball of hair, or I can go out with continuous dandruff flaking off from the top of my head.
Either way - I am wearing a toque to hide this nasty little annoyance.
Luckily it is not yet causing my hair to fall out.
And really, after my issues being able to just BREATHE for a few hours this evening, this is a very very minor issue.

Nevertheless - gross and painful and I am hiding my hair for a few days.
