Summer Slo-Pitch

There is nothing like getting to participate in a loved activity.

Illness is so unpredictable that consistent participation in team sports like slo-pitch is pretty elusive.
Then, after years of little to no activity, my body became weak. Really weak.
Over the past 6 years, I have been doing what I can to rebuild some strength, some muscles, some muscle endurance, and overall stamina. It's a lot and it has taken a long time, but it's nice that I can join in as an occasional sub for a slo-pitch team.

I know that it's temporary.
My body will weaken again at some point through a flare, my vision will deteriorate further, and there will come a time when I can no longer play. For now, though, I am going to bask in these occasional fantastic days when I feel, dare I say, somewhat normal!
