For the most part, such extreme differences in tastes don't usually change over time - unless it's a really long time.
Health challenges, however, can turn someone's world in a direction they never thought possible.
Maybe you're a shower person. Maybe you hate the thought of hanging out in your own dirty bath water. But then you wind up with something like Vertigo, or severe nausea, or issues with leg pain that make standing difficult, or issues with dizziness, and suddenly showers are an infrequent activity... suddenly they are dangerous. So - you automatically become a bath person.
It might be an allergy that makes you avoid cats but you really want a pet so you become a dog person, it could be a stomach or intestinal condition that makes carbonated beverages a no-go so you become a still-water person, an eye disease that prevents being able read on a screen for an extended period of time so you switch to physical books.
Either way, the type of person you are can be changed. It can be changed unexpectedly. So, sometimes, just roll with it, and know that these 'types of people' are not really all that different.
Coming from a shower-person who is now, by default, a bath person.
Yeah! People think their reality is an absolute- a stagnant thing. I hear "i'll never" a lot. But - you NEVER know. heehee. I am an everything person. I don't really know how to define myself. I am a cat person who likes other people's dogs but would never own one. I bath but have a quick shower afterward. I prefer sparkling water but it hurts my gut so I mostly drink still water...it's complicated.
